Transforming the Dubbo Square Rhino - Local Artist Call Out
Charter Hall is inviting talented artists to be part of a unique creative journey—reimagining the iconic Dubbo Square Rhino with a stunning new mural design.
The Dubbo Rhino Adventure sculpture trail has long been a beloved fixture in the region, capturing imaginations with its bold, colourful presence. While some of the original sculptures have faded with time, the community’s enthusiasm for revitalizing these artistic landmarks remains strong. Since 2022, the local council has restored three rhinos throughout town—now, it’s time for the Dubbo Square Rhino to undergo its own transformation.
How to Get Involved
We are currently accepting public tenders from artists interested in designing a mural for the Dubbo Square Rhino.
What you need to submit:
✔ A concept sketch showcasing how your design will translate to the 3D Rhino.
✔ A quote outlining the cost to bring your artwork to life (budget range: $3,000–$5,000).
✔ The story behind your piece, including the significance of your design choices and colours.
Selection & Timeline
📅 Submission Deadline: COB Friday 20 June 2025
👥 Community-Driven Selection – A panel of tenants and community members will vote for their favorite design.
🎨 Project Completion: The mural unveiling is planned for August 2025, marking a new chapter for the Dubbo Square Rhino.
